Meeting In Secret

Min-Ju quietly got up. She had to sneakily go outside checking to see if the press was outside. Min-Ju struggled down the stairs. She texted him to meet him at the side entrance that was wide and empty. She had security bring him there

When they finally met she was angry and he was shy and gave her a weak smile when he saw her. She led him inside into the study, where it was nearly windowless so no cameras could take a photo. He couldn't look her in the eye. Min-Ju was upset as she folded her arms scanning him and leaning on her desk for support

"I'm sorry...I wanted to see if your okay" Min-Ju was still mad "You could have watched the news" She said looking him straight in the eye

Min-Ju was yawning and was starting to get tired. "I know... I just wanted to see for myself" He answered shyly "You said you didn't want to see me anymore... for a person like you who rarely goes back on their words" She said angrily

"Yeah. Well, I guess we can't stay away from each other" He chuckles but he didn't really find that really funny. Ever since JinHai texted her at 3 in the morning she was getting more annoyed "I'm married now" She said quietly as it was more to herself "I love him" She says a little louder than before looking down on the chiseled floor playing with the small pebbles left by everybody's shoes walking in and out exploring the massive house

"Do you love him or you love his money?" JinHai says as he sighs heavily. Min-Ju doesn't answer, she does lift up her head either but her expression is blank. She finally looks up and says "I like the feeling of security," she says with her arms crossed between her chest

JinHai scoffs at her answer in disbelief. "You didn't feel the need for security when you left for Korea," He said in retaliation. They both knew that they were having a petty argument but they were arguing anyway

"I'm not arguing with you over this fucking thing that happened ten years ago," Min-Ju said softly trying not to scream

"Why not? We've been hurting over this for the past ten years" JinHai said in a pleading voice

Min-Ju pauses knowing that he's right "You're right... But it hurts every time I think about it..." She said as she's tearing up "I miss you" She takes another pause "I want to be with you... I always did but we can't. No matter what we can't and now it's worse. I feel consumed by you I want to hug you, kiss you, make love to you but we can't... we just can't" She said sucking up the tears so she doesn't sob

JinHai gets stunned and hugs her tight Min-Ju tries to push away but he holds her steady. She cries into his shoulder and his face in her long chestnut hair. She pushed him a little so she could look up at him. They look at each other for a long time without speaking until Min-Ju pushes herself up placing both of her hands on his cheeks and pulls him into a kiss

The kiss lingers for a while "I love you'' he says with his eyes closed as he pulls her in for another kiss and then another until they hear footsteps coming down the staircase. They waited until the footsteps descended back up the stairs

"We can't have an affair. It's not good for anybody," Min-Ju admits

"Then let's have dinner together and run off into the sunset," He said jokily

"I wish that was an option" Min-Ju whispers into his ear before kissing his cheek "I'm having dinner with LiQiu next week," She said in a sadden breath "You should go before she worries,"

"I know but I don't want this to done"

"I know... I don't want us to end" Min-Ju said looking down and stroking his wrist

'It's late I should go" He says with a hint of regret but before he leaves he kisses her deep and emotional with longing eyes "See you next week," He says looking back at Min-Ju before slipping into the darkness

Min-Ju sighs heavily and tries to contain her emotions. She slowly and gently touches her lips still feeling the after-effects of his kiss and her confession. JinHai sneaks out of the house with Jae-Hyuk escorting him out. He gets in the car and starts driving and sees the press still swarming the house so he shakes his head and starts driving away still conflicted about his choices

Min-Ju still at her office quietly leaves and goes back to bed with her husband sleeping beside her
