Chapter 15~Axx And The Endurance Training

I take a deep breath as I have no clue where my land is. I start walking as my brown skin seems to light the way away from the Midnight Kingdom. I know I need the brainless activity of my feet hitting the icy ground.

I start to run as my toes feel slightly frozen. "I realize I am having fun as I feel almost free." I think as I feel my skin tingle painfully. I slow down to a stop as I walk into my new home. "I try not to think about how freaky this all is." I think as I gasp at the sight of the land.

As I set foot on my new property for the first time, I feel as if I am returning home! A home where I looked so hard to find, is now mine!" I think as I look at the land in wonder. Tears go down my face as I realize this is all mine. I take a deep breath as I stand on the grassy ground. "I look around to see perfection, as I see the possibilities of a future that looks so grand." I think of all the ways I could make a happier future.

"With a past like mine, I will make this land worthy of royals. Then I will finally have a home!" I think with a big smile.

I take a deep breath "ahhhhhhhhh" I scream at everything that has happened to me. I feel numb as my flames dance all around me. I finally stop as a feeling of peace enters my body. I pant from screaming so long as my throat feels raw.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath."I realize I will have to be stronger than the knights who said I was nothing. Being weak is now not an option. I have a feeling, I have a greater purpose now! Only the future will tell!" I think as I fight my way through all the plants. I hiss out each time a thorn enters my skin.

Light shines through the plants as I force myself through. I fall onto my hands and knees. I look up to see a beautiful clearing. I stand up slowly to see a massive waterfall gushing water into a stream."Did I create that?" I wonder out loud. I wince as my throat throbs in pain.

"I must be powerful!" I think as I look at the beautiful red-shiny stone waterfall. "The only way that could have happened is if there was water under the tree I hit? That would be impossible as the waterfall is flowing from a cliff on a mountain." I say as I shake my head at the strange land.

"No matter. I feel tired, but I do not want to destroy the world. I guess it is time to train. I wonder if I will find out who I am as I use these powers under my command. That is all I truly want to find where I belong!" I say with hope in my voice. I sigh as I know that is not going to happen.

I quickly stack leaves and sticks into a pyramid shape until it is 3 feet in the air. "No matter how hard I would train, I could never gain muscle mass before. Hopefully, now I can. I feel as strong as a bull. I am stronger than the ones who called me weak" I think as I look to the wonderful future I will have.

"Being a knight made me into what I am today. It almost destroyed me from what they did to me. I guess it does not matter now. I will show them all that I am better than them all!" I say out loud. My voice is as fierce as a charging mother dragon.

"I want a small red ball of flame floating in my hand." I think as I concentrate hard. I close my eyes with sweat pouring down my face out of the corner of my eye. I see something red in the corner of my eye. I open up my eyes. My eyes widen in shock. In my hand, floating is a dime-shaped fire ball.

"Yes, I did it!" I scream out loud as I do, some horrible dance moves. I dance like no one is watching.

I stop dancing as I see the tiny flame ball growing smaller. I wanted to scream and rage. "This small, thin ball of flame took a lot out of me. Now it is dying..." I think as I panic.

"Wait, all flames need is oxygen. All I would have to do is blow on it, and it should get bigger." I think.

I see the tiny spec dying before my eyes. I quickly breathe on it before it vanishes. I watch as black smoke comes from the little tiny flame. I watch as it grows to the size of a penny. I stop blowing on the flame in my hand and take a look at it, and I grin hard as I feel pride at the little progress I made.

I examine the debris to see if I can spot any leaves. I see the vivid crimson leaves and aim for them with a flick of my wrist. The tiny flame ball zips back and forth unsteadily. After a minute, before it hits the pile of leaves, it vanishes. I groan aloud, "This is going to take a lot longer than I thought."

"With not much result, let's try something else. Maybe if I picture it growing as if I am giving it life? Maybe then it will become bigger?" I think as I hold my breath as a red flame ball slowly appears in the palm of my hand. I watch avidly as it quickly swells into the size of a frog.

It stops growing as quickly as it started. I grab the flame in my hand and throw it at the mountain of debris. It hit some massive trees. "Not much damage but, at least it was something. Let us see what my magic is capable of." I say out loud.

With this in mind, I think of a bow and arrows. It takes time, but it slowly appears out of thin air. "They look like they are what dreams are made of." I whisper softly as I stroke them softly. I look at them closer, "The bow and arrows are of inferior quality, but they should work for what I need of them. I better hurry! The bow and arrows are slowly losing their form." I think as I panic.

I quickly let the fire arrows go. One after another, I watch as they hit with a small bang. I shield my eyes as I watch as parts of the bark fly around me. "Still not much damage and the bow and arrow did not hold together," I say as I let out a sigh of disappointment.

My hand goes to my chin as I think."Farther away would do more damage. It would not have to be too far, either. "Maybe this time the magic will be more stable." I say as I feel excited about what is about to happen.

With a deep breath, I walk a few feet backward. I think, "Of a red bow with blue arrows." It takes less time before they are in my hands.

I grab an arrow with my right hand and put it on the arrow rest. I grip the bowstring with my left hand and aim towards a large tree. I quickly let go of the arrow.

I watch the arrow light on fire as it hits the target hard. It explodes with a great BANG!

I am slammed into a tree hard and groan in pain. I see a flash of fire blue in the corner of my eyes.

"Where does this flash of light keep coming from?" I wonder out loud. I shake my head as I know no answer will come anytime soon. I slowly stand up. My legs feel too shaky to stand on. I wave my hand over the flames and, they slowly disappear.

"I think that is it for today. I feel sleepy. A nap sounds wonderful." I say, and before I can do anything else, my eyes close, and I know no more.
