Mutation and beginning of the battle(corrected)

Running as fast as possible, Mark was trying to get to the stairs when he saw a huge fireball that passed him. Seeing how the fireball was not directed at him, he sighed in relief, but when he saw the direction it was going his expression hardened.

'Tell me it's not what I think.' - He thought worriedly.

After running for a few minutes, he finally managed to get to the stairs, only to see that the entrance had collapsed and was covered in flames.

"Shit, you can't pass here!" -Cursed Mark as he started to think about another solution.

"Mark what happened?" - Asked Bell who had arrived slightly later with Lili on his shoulders.

"The entrance has collapsed." -Mark replied irritably, while the rest of the adventurers began to arrive as well.

"Is there some wizard who has a magic to open a passage?" - Asked an adventurer.

When asked by the adventurer, five people raised their hands, but they were not good. Any of their spells would have caused further collapses or were not suitable for digging.

"What are we doing?! The monsters are coming! " - Screamed another panicked adventurer.

Hearing the words of the Guide, Mark's expression became serious and he waited for the Guide to finish speaking.

"THAT LIZARD SWALLOWED THE FRAGMENT!" -Mark shouted angrily as he punched a silverback and smashed its face.

Just the fact that Selene's shard was in a monster's stomach and the protection it had was helping the dragon grow stronger infuriated Mark, but he couldn't lose his mind in that situation or he would die.

'If it dies, the fragment should appear right?' - Mark asked carefully.

With those words, the resolution appeared on his face, he had to be the one to kill that monster. The reason was simple, if other people came and killed the monster, they would find Selene's fragment and seize it.

By then, Mark's situation would have gotten worse. Once it was discovered that the fragment was capable of empowering monsters, it would not be strange for the Loki Familia to link him to what happened on the 18th floor and consequently to the Evilus, since they had already seen him in possession of something similar.

Even though he had moved away, the impact of the explosion reached him anyway, sending him flying a few meters, but he did not suffer too much damage. Getting up quickly, he saw that he was surrounded by monsters, so he launched a 'flashbang', facilitating the task of killing them.

'That monster is like a mortar, it doesn't come close but fires powerful shots. The second problem is these monsters that don't stop attacking. '- Mark thought annoyed, as he mowed down the imps that were approaching him.

Having killed the monsters near him, he had a moment to breathe and control the situation. The number of adventurers who had been there previously had dwindled, but he could still see Bell resisting with Lili providing support.

"If I want to fight that dragon, the number of monsters must decrease, but this will not be possible as long as the passage to the 11th floor remains open."

After realizing the problem, he went to the group of adventurers Bell was in and began helping them to kill the monsters. His movements were precise, every time he swung the sword, he hit a fatal point of the monster killing it.

Thanks to his support, they managed to kill the monsters that were near them, finally managing to catch a breath, since the rest of the monsters were still far away.

"Now is not the time. I would like everyone to listen to my plan. " -Hearing Mark's voice, the other adventurers approached him, as with his help, it was easier to handle monsters.

"As you can see, the situation is bad. The monsters keep coming and that dragon has a good aim, so getting stuck in front of the entrance to fight will become more and more difficult." - Mark said seriously.

"But what can we do, we have no hope against that monster!" -Cried a frightened adventurer.

"Right! In addition, help should come. " -Said an adventurer who looked like a sorceress.

"No, they will be late, no one was able to go up to warn of the situation, due to the collapse." - Analyzed Lili.

"Exactly, that's why we have to find a way to resist. The reason the monsters don't end is because they're coming from the lower floor, that's why I want you to help me close that passage." -Mark explained.

"But that's where most of the monsters are." -Someone emphasized.

"I never said it would be easy. While you take care of the breach, I will distract the dragon, so you can focus only on the monsters." - Mark said calmly.

"Absolutely not Mark, it's a suicide!" -Said Bell worried, but it seemed that the others considered it a form of distrust.

"Why should we trust you?" - Said an adventurer.

"Even I who am level 2 could not handle it." -Said a man who looked like a veteran.

"Haaa, I think I'll switch to Tione's method. 'Flashbang' "- Raising his hand, he generated a magic circle that he pointed towards the adventurer who had just spoken.

"AAARGH! My eyes! My ears! " - Screamed the man in pain. Looking at the state of man, all of them had a frightened expression.

"Ah you don't need to be scared, soon the effects will disappear." -Said Mark with a smile, but it made them shiver to look at him.

"I think you are all misunderstanding something, I don't need any of you to survive. I have enough strength and speed to withstand the monsters and dodge the dragon's blows, which many of you won't be able to do." -He said coldly to everyone, and then turned to the monsters who were getting closer and closer to them.

"The monsters are almost here and that dragon will start shooting again, so what are you going to do?" -He asked them coldly.

"I'm not going to die without a fight, count me." - Said a man with an ax.

"It's been less than a month since I unlocked the magic as if I were dying now!" - Yelled a boy.

"Count on me too, but did you have to use that magic? My eyes still hurt "-Said the man who had suffered the magic of Mark.

"It was the most efficient method." -Said Mark with a shrug.

"Efficient .. 'sigh' forget it, since the most difficult task falls to you." -The man said with a sigh.

Eventually, everyone had decided to participate in the plan, a total of twenty adventurers counting Mark, with 6 people able to cast a spell to block the passage.

"Well, the monsters are on their way. I want you to get their attention, so that I can get close to the dragon without wasting Falna, after all, I will need a lot. " -Mark ordered.

"Mark... as soon as we're done with our job, I'll come right away, so try to hold on." -Bell told him seriously.

"...Thank you?" -Mark was seriously confused about how to answer him, wondering what he would be able to do against that monster.

At that point the operation began, the group of adventurers attacked the monsters attracting their attention, allowing Mark who was far from them to head towards the dragon. Obviously, the run was not easy, even if most of the monsters had moved, it does not mean that there were none, so he had to be careful of any attacks.

After a long run, he finally arrived at the monster, which was now towards the center of the 10th floor. Just getting closer made the air warmer and he could see how everything around the monster was catching fire.

Seeing that the monster was about to fire another shot at the adventurers, Mark evoked an 'electric explosion' and directed it at the monster's nose, which managed to change its direction, even if it didn't seem to have done any damage due to the scales.

'ROOOOAR!'

Enraged that someone had hit it, the dragon turned only to see one of the beings it considered weak, not far from it. So it decided to attack him with its tail.

Seeing the oncoming attack, Mark folded just in time, because the monster's tail swept through the air at an incredible speed, almost decapitating him.

"That tail looks more like a spear!" -Mark shouted as he jumped from side to side to prevent the tail from impaling him.

Watching the human always flee from its grasp, the dragon decided to change its strategy and released the flames from its mouth, creating a wall of fire behind Mark.

"It looks like it won't be that simple." -Said Mark with the sweat on his forehead, as he saw the walls of flames behind him and the dragon in front.

'ROOOAR!'

Roaring, the monster was ready to begin the second fight.
