Master was right. He put me through hellish training, not letting me rest for a second. Even though it was hard, it wasn't fatal or anything, and it helped me gain some benefits from my time here. Six whole months, it had almost been eight months since I came to this world, and these six months were the only time I felt even a bit of comfort. Master might be rough, but he's actually a pretty nice guy when you get to know him better.

I integrated with Calypso in these six months, gaining all his fire-type abilities. This might be a cheat, but I also gained the ability to become immortal. This type was better than the Immortal rank Cultivation level because I couldn't die through unnatural causes either. Whenever I died, I would be reborn in a flame, wherever the flame was. The only bad side this method had was that I couldn't be reborn if my ashes were destroyed because of that or if my corpse was frozen with high-tier water or ice magic.

I also learned essential dark magic. Now I was able to create basic spells involving darkness. I could use a shadow as an iframe to travel between them, avoiding any attack thrown at me. I could also generate a fog of darkness, which could trap any enemy beneath my Cultivation Level. This fog also had the ability to scare the person or even lose consciousness in some cases, which could be used to knock out weaker enemies without having to so much as lift a finger.

I learned five more Soaring Dragon's Blaze steps in these six months. Although it was nowhere near perfect, it increased my versatility quite a bit. I was more comfortable using daggers now and improved my balance to use my legs more. I also enhanced my Cultivation Level. I was on the Dark Realm Stage, First Layer now. I guess those are the perks of being taught by a literal Immortal Stage Ninth Layer Cultivator. Master was one step away from transcending, and he told me it had been like that for the past sixty years. I didn't believe it at first, but then I realized after you reach the Immortal stage, you have infinite life.

Since I had trained with Master for so long and also sparred with him, I was confident in my abilities to utterly destroy a seventh-layer Dark Realm Cultivator with ease.
