Chapter 15

"No. If the god you summon doesn't accept your request, you can never take the Holy or the Devil Path. You will be stuck at the Mana Body for the rest of your lives." Aetos said.

"Well, that's scary," I admitted. "But Aetos-

"Call me master from now on, you goof," Master said.

"Yes, Master," I replied. "What are the stages of Cultivation for the Devil's Path?"

"Idiot, you still don't even know that?" Master asked, clearly disappointed in me. "Well, I guess it makes sense considering you had never seen a Devil's Path Cultivator except yourself before today."

"So, you're a Devil's path Cultivator too?" I asked.

"Sure am," Master replied. "Anyway, to answer your question. The stages are directly parallel to the Holy Path. They are the following - Basic Demon Body, Dark Realm Stage, Abyss Harnesser Stage, and then Immortal. Like the Holy Path, after you break through past the Immortal Stage, you can Transcend."

"Hmmm, that's cool. So I'm a Basic Demon Body Layer two Cultivator." I announced.

"Yeah, weak punk," Master said.

"Why you gotta be so harsh? I'm your disciple. Show some respect." I joked. I shouldn't have said that because two seconds later, I got clobbered on the head by a hammer.

"Owwwwww." I groaned.

"Your training begins tomorrow, take this hammer and carve yourself a room in this cave. Also, give yourself and that Phoenix of yours a bath. You guys stink." Master explained.

"You knew about Calypso this whole time?" I asked, shocked.

"Yeah, but you suck at naming." Master pointed out. Calypso turned into his human form and greeted Master. We then took off to do our work. We carved ourselves a room and then took a bath. By the time we completed all of that, it was already morning.

"I'll give you one more day of rest because you guys still stink. Is it that hard to carve a room? On top of that, you were two people! Weaklings." Master said. Calypso and I slept for a whole twenty-four hours. We had finally recovered from our fatigue over the course of the past week or two.

Calypso and I got ready and went outside to start our training.

"Have you learned a Martial Art yet?" Master asked.

"Calypso gave me the notes on the Soaring Dragon's Blaze, and I have comprehended one step until now," I replied.

"That's pretty good, a divine level Martial Art already. Now, what type of magic do you use?" He asked.

"I don't have an affinity," I answered.

"Okay, then we'll work on Dark Magic. Light Magic might be easy to learn, but Dark magic has the most destructive nature and is better long-term." Master suggested. "Have you integrated with a Demon Spirit yet?"

"No, Master," I replied. A question popped into my mind: Could I integrate with Calypso as my demon spirit? If I could, that would be amazing.

"Good, you're also going to integrate with your phoenix," Master said heartedly. Man, was he interested in all this.

"Can I integrate with him? Calypso is connected to this Divine Weapon named Asi." I protested, showing him the dagger.

"Yes, you can. I also own a Divine Weapon named Zulfiqar. The Mythical Beast connected to it was Behemoth, and I have integrated with it while still keeping the properties of my weapon." Master explained. "We're going to be training for six months. I'll put you through hellish training in these six months, so be prepared, you lazy pig."

I sighed. "Yes, Master." Why did gramps have to send me off to this old geezer?

"Oh, and one more thing. Just like Calypso, I can hear your thoughts too." Master said, smirking.

"OH, COME ON," I yelled.
