This novel is decent at best. The story is intriguing and the characters are interesting. Personally I like Aurora and Hila. however the MC is one of the most one dimensional characters I've seen. he experiences no character growth at all. he gets flung into a game log horizon style and is forced to live his life in the game world. But he never reflects on it and treats the entire world as if it still was a game to him, which is very strange. He also does not form any real bonds or attachments to anything or anyone. the novel emphasizes that he is now a npc and that he has to experience everything with the filters that he had as a player disabled. So I find it very strange that he has spent more than two decades in the game and is still the same as when he started. no growth or development at all. This is a shame because it could have brought the novel to the next level if there was at least some development on the MC's part. But alas we are stuck with this shallow novel which at most will draw out a smirk from the reader. I mean if you want something to fill the time and doesn't really require you to use your brain give it a go. But if you're looking for something deeper this isn't it. Maybe try out Lord of the Mysteries instead.
