I could only read a couple of chapters before I dropped the novel. I couldn't help but find it very childish and boring. The plot is simply boring

Woooo, you can't be more wrong about that. It's probably one of the better backroung-world, realist fleshy character MC and suport character of all the novel in Quidian. The only one able to compet is "release this witch". Well, if you not event able to read more than two chapter, i don't think you have the mentality and maturity for understand and appreciat this one after all.
I see. That's unfortunate. I hope you find something else to read. Its a slow start to begin with but if you had stuck through the initial confusion until enough world building had been accrued you might have been able to enjoy it for what it is. Rather than a starting point soon outgrown and obsolete this beginning is almost like a prequel to later character development. It provides the opportunity to fall in love with these characters before you get bogged down with their alter egos (ie their serious side) several arcs after the beginning I frequently find myself comparing the current character to the first version i met a laughing.
better background world? how so. it doesn't even have the simplest explanation as to how the hell people are surviving underground where sunlight doesn't reach. because you know, sunlight is a basic thing a food chain needs?

Just because i shortened it and didnt go in detail doesnt mean thag you can justify saying that. I know about plant life which doesnt need sunlight but you cant ignore the fact that those which do need it, are crucial both for humans and wild life alike. World background is garbage. Tell me about how the city is described in first 32 chapters apart from it being built near sulfur mountains. We dont know what they eat. How does water cycle function. There is no sunlight so is there a sky? Clouds? I doubt it. So how do they get water? Hmm? You could say that there is a river that is climbing down underground or something along those lines. If that was the case, whats the point of the supposefly underground city which guards the entrance to the surface whsn they have dwarves and goblins who can make litteral rockets? They could easily trace the water back or something...

So just because there are some plants which dont need sunlight, doesnt necesarilly mean that food chain would really persevere. And even if that problem doesnt exist, the sheer fact that nothing was said about any of this is just mindblowing. Nothing is said about city having walls. Gates. Battlements. How houses look like... does anyone else have a house except the lich... nothing was said about what they eat. How the life functions. Main thing we know at the very least is that they have lolipops and that everything explodes. So that makes the novel have a garbage world background. Just explaining goddesses aint gonna cut it

Backround is not only what you describe, man. Polical system, power system, how the people live, how the people think, how the race work .... all of that is backround. And all of that is clearly described in this novel. So no, i persist to said you are wrong. Read more of the story, and you will know.
