Review Detail of D_Wolf in War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

So there are some good things and bad things about this story. First the good. You got a lot to read, OP MC, decent heroines, generally enemies are more powerful than the MC at least by the world standard, so the MC struggles. The MC is not afraid of those enemies who give him an excuse to kill them, but is afraid of the plotters who try to manipulate the situation to 'borrow a knife'. The BAD: The author makes most of the fights about numbers, X character has AAA power which is 5 points more than Y characters BBB power, this means that X character easily kills Y character. Early on in the story this numbers mechanic was less of an issue but after the first area it becomes significant and than as the story progresses it becomes the dominant combat mechanic. Generic repetitive arcs about MC comes into area, is weak, trains, becomes OP and kills all enemies. Oh and MC does not care about how powerful his enemies are, he just believes and somehow achieves the ability to kill his enemies after avoiding those who can oneshot him until he is powerful enough to kill them too. Oh and he always makes enemies by having his female companion of the moment hit on, insulted, or somehow having his own claim on her be impugned by the 'young master' of the area, and then he kills said young master. Of course he is almost as touchy about being insulted himself. I would call the world itself a problem as well mainly based on the power-system, and the characters are are generally cookie cutter characters, with the exception of the heroines being individuals and he has some interesting friends. All enemies are basically the same as far as personality, with different names and such. There is no real character growth in the MC to speak of and most other characters do not have enough visible time to see growth. All the heroines fall for the MC usually within minutes of meeting him. The crafting system is terrible, and all we really see of it is that MC is so 'amazing' at crafting. As far as weapons go it is all about the boost increase in power that the user gets and it goes up a potential of 10 % each level, and of course the MC is the only one who can do perfect weapons all the time. Then there is the alchemy that the MC is so amazing at. All we see is the next level of the weapon and alchemy flames means that all of a sudden he is crafting and concocting the next tier of these items and consumables at a very high 'purity which multiples the effectiveness as it nears 100%. There is no crafting in this story as all we see is the MC mixes the ingredients in some amazing way with an amazing fire for his age and somehow make things that are many times better than anyone else can make. Also a weapon that can multiply power by 70% seems to be hundreds of times more valuable than a weapon that multiplies by 69% in the same tier. While this could be slightly realistic as these 'perfect' examples could be research topics for crafters, but the value seems to have the same inflation even with non-crafters. I guess it might be understandable when we look at the power-system, as the variety of martial concepts are all focused on the so called power that one can generate, and everything else follows. The Meh: I have no problem with the whole harem concept especially in the cultivation type stories, as it makes since unless the MC has a fixation on either having no love interests or on a specific heroine from early on. Here we have the heroines chasing the MC all the time until he 'does' them and claims them as his own. He becomes very possessive of his heroines, which is standard MC behavior, and tries to push away the ones after the first two are in his pocket. Of course all the heroines are 'supreme' beauties, and only he is the love interest for all these 'supreme' beauties generally when he shows that he has more ability or more 'potential' than all the other choices as he is also younger than his rivals. Overall I have come back to this story several times as I had forgotten why I had dropped it in the first place. I of course now remember why I dropped it as I enjoyed it for a while yet it gets worse and worse as you continue reading.
