if possible how bout make situation where he grow bored of his power and went to live a mundane life, visiting various universe plot. for example TeenWolf, Modern family, Supernatural, the hobbit, the legend of the seeker and etc. Either acting like a hermit or your regular neighbor. a type of slice of life genre. And make him a little bit stingy when giving things because he is too generous which is quite a drag.
