There are many women in the novel that wants a piece of the MC, but it seems the MC is quite dense. It's like reading a cultivation version of a japenese main character. And the power hierarchy, or the status of the women are poorly explained so much so that you won't know who is who. Like there is a point that says "Prince of the dynasty", but it's a woman. And "wife of the empress", but the empress only has that title because the previous king died. I honestly have mo idea who and what happened. Casual poison, won't die from it.

Your confusion is literally explained on the fourth chapter: He had some understanding of the Imperial Court. It was said that the empress of the current dynasty had a strong and harsh personality. Originally, she was only a regent. After she tried her best to salvage the situation, she simply abolished her brother and ascended the throne herself. Not only did she become the empress, but she even made an exception and conferred the title of prince of the blood on her sister.

'Prince' of blood ---> Sister. It should be "princess of blood". And the usage of ancient terms of royal hierarchy doesn't make it easier to understand.

That's why it's an exception. She's the only female prince in the history of the story. It's ancient semi-Chinese feudal society. Women in general were not allowed to participate in politics, which is why her official title is 'prince'.
