I think this is a Korean Webnovel that was changed into Chinese. Because, the MC is pure which is the most well known personality of an Korean Pornhwa MC before turning into more domineering personality in the future chapters or in the middle of the story. And another one is living with non-biological family which is quite normal in Pornhwa, pornhwa usually have the so called "sisters" that hate the MC or cold that suddenly changes into "something you know" in a so on story. Another one is gentle step mother its usually a Pornhwa Step mother type. This is just a speculation you can believe it or not. So... if you are someone who do not like pure MCs then do not worry it will likely change in the future.

I hadn’t considered the Korean angle on this and you might have something. The MC is way to “pure” and much to submissive in his approach to most things. The mindset is very damaging and it will have to receive some hard jolt to get out of his rut. Anyways, at this moment in release (20 chapters) I cannot recommend it at all.
