Honestly, you won't even notice if he is strong or weak as you read it. Not with all the simping for Nawaki there is in the story. Now, to be completely fair to the author, the story might be not my cup of tea as I find the development mind-numbingly boring, but it is well-written and quite okay. The focus on Nawaki is justified as the boy was MC's gateway to tutelage under Mito and whatnot. I just don't like how much focus there is on Nawaki and MC's bromance. It made the story boorishly dull for me. But what do I know? You just might enjoy it. Don't worry about how strong the MC is right now. His ability is quite OP as far as potential goes so click on that read button and give it a go without asking useless questions. See for yourself.

Of course the worldbuilding is good. Fanfiction is having the source material do it for you.
