I feel the story could be so much better if the skills and evolutions were more "organic" if that makes sense. like less description of EXACTLY what they do and more demonstration and finding out in fights kind of situation.

A lot is figured out during fights or when trying them out. By "organic", do you perhaps mean an Evolution that follows an Evolution Tree? If so, then I get the criticism. In the first "arc" of the story, the MC is made to devour a great variety of Monsters so Evolutions are all over the place. Might change or not once he makes it outside the Dungeon. Thanks for the review.
i guess when i think of the term "evolving" I think more organic as in like growing or gaining an organ or body part to do so. like for poison bomb, it says "grants the ability to a ball of paralyzing poison ball", not like evolving to be able to use poison bomb. things like that add a bit of magical realism to a story, helps people like me who have seen the fantasy evolution genre stay interested.
