He said he wanted to kill the crown prince in the heat of the moment and because he thought the crown prince should be evil. But it soon turned out crown prince was one of the few nice guys in the whole imperial family and he was also being played with in his entire life. Why should MC still want to kill him?! How is that even related to MC being naive? If you are looking for a novel that 'bad guys remain bad guys till the end no matter what' you're in the wrong place then.

well the fake crown prince will die... and he will reveal his identity as the actual crown prince after a long while but most people can already guess it to some degree. his decendants will know way earlier though.
