Just read the first trial 20 chapters and find that this book has a lot of potential. Admittedly it is a very very slow build right now and there is a lot of China being moral and great etc, but once you ignore that it does indeed show a lot of positive growth. I look forward to seeing how this goes and really hope the MC isn’t a low EQ sub, it appears of late that most Chinese novels have been favouring that particular trope.

I’ve read so many patriotic China novels that I’ve gotten sick of it.

Sadly that is what you will end up getting here, the main source of novels is china and those authors have to please the government to make a living mostly.

I'm confused, first Kang De sounds Korean name, second I thought the world would be like sword and magic European settings since they mentioned "wizards" and not cultivator or sort of. So this is modern Era AU of China?

though there is some nationalism, the majority of the first story arc is humans verses elves. And though the first 20 or so chapters is Reeeeeally hard to take. if you can push through the Chinese humor and his inability to kill (partly because of ineptitude then later because his team wants to preserve his purity) up till ch 60 is a really decent story. I hope this shows up in my free reading again sometime.
