While I want to give it five stars it felt like that awkward tension NTR gives you when Chiron did it with Drake. I dropped it there not going to lie I feel like it's probably a one time thing but that scene kind of ruined the novel for me.

Yeah but you were setting up Drake as a love interest in the first few chapters and she basically promises herself to mc if he can grow strong enough and like a week later she does it with Chiron. It's not explicitly NTR but it feels like it.

She's the cover of the novel so I thought she would be FMC, felt uncomfortable reading the chap but apparently that's just how she is (I know nothing about fate).

She is one of the main characters. You do realize it's possible to have heroines in a novel that aren't slaves to the male lead, right?

Double standards have no place in a world of pirates. Drake is a libertine who doesn't believe in the concept of things like marriage or committed relationships. She believes people should be free, so if she finds a guy she likes, she takes 'them' home, not the other way around. It is never implied that she would 'become' someone the MC can simply possess. That isn't how the real world works, man.
