was really good but suddenly at chapter 118 (I think) it feels like a bunch of chapters were skipped. Mc went from having 3 beasts to at least 4 maybe 5. Haven't read enough of chapters to know for sure.

He had 4. But you are right, suddenly his pets are different, both name and description minus the vampire he got after the school tournament. Some people had band changes as well, so I suspect a lot of it may be translation, but it could be the author as there are a lot of gaps.
