didnt read BUT from reading other overlod fanfics, i learned something really useful: Less Yggdrasil, More New World. Thats the formula for greatness

Depends . Many authors aren't able to extract the greatness of the game . There are about 2-3 overlord fanfics that are even aproaching to the lvl required to that. It's not that it's horrible to add the game, it's that the writters don't have the skills required. Dude, imagine a fanfic where you are watching how your MC is getting things, pay to win, understand the lvl increase, item store, item creation, gatcha for days. It's a shame we don't have a story with 200 chapters of Yggdrassil . The new world has only a few important events... after that it's either mixing the new world with other magical worlds, allowing the mc to travel to other animes or just inventing new adventures within the real info of the anime
the problem is, ITS JUST A GAME. its make no irl diference. all the time you spend in Yggdrasil = waste. Overlord novels should just skip to the new world.

The lack of detail of the MC lvl's , skills, magic spells and super tier spells makes it less worth it . Also, as a person living in that situation, I suppose that if they work in Nazarik as either a guild master or a guild member, they could make a floor and NPC's . It's also important the details on such things. It makes the story many times greater than one without the details. If they skip to the new world, then they can basically add any spell, NPC, floor without any justification . At certain point, things make less sense and authors tend to change/mix things which breaks all the story into a cocain-mix story.

yes but the new world has very few points . The story and anime have barely touched anything . We know from 2 kingdoms and have heard something about 2 more. There is still a lot of info misisng and with what we currently have, there is very little to work with.
