It has the makings of a good fix but I don’t like how he joins the marines and nerfs himself it’s boring and overused it quickly became something im uninterested in but that’s because I’ve read to much one piece fic idk what you would have to do to make it interesting for me again

Well, his reasons for joining the marines are rather well defined, he didn't just go there cuz he was bored. The part of him nerfing himself, well if he joined the marines just to use his df then he'd just be going there for nothing. He is there to train his body, to learn haki and the 6 powers. There's also nothing stopping him from using his fruit, I didn't put a mystical seal on it :)) It's also hinted that he wants to participate in the war in order to befriend the WB pirates.
