I just want to ask why do you give spears to most of your characters personally am more of a sword guy but I still want to know

Because they are better weapons than swords. They have longer range, can keep you safe by their long reach which makes foes not jump into you as recklessly as with a sword, and can easily act in many different ways. Spears were the most common weapon in IRL medieval times, swords were mostly never used unless you were a noble, and often seen as special weapons for 1v1 battles. Soldiers, warriors, and wars all had spears.

They're literally better, research a bit. Easy to use = being more practical in battle. Having to train for a long time just to wield an elongated knife in exchange for using a long pike to poke the eye of your foe, what's more practical and efficient to you?

yes it is more practical and easier to use and you can easily arm an entire army with spears which you wouldn't do with a sword which is difficult and time consuming to make and difficult to use this is reason it is more practical not better and whether i would use a spear or a sword depends where i go and if it's in a fantasy world I prefer zweihander it can be big like a spear and together with the blade grip I wouldn't have as much weight problems as it is in real life. and I like greatsword better even though it is very difficult to use and if good with them
