Review Detail of eggerz in Sword God in a World of Magic

At the time of posting this I've read up until chapter 400 right after he got back from his 10-year journey This review has some small spoilers but nothing that would ruin the story. This is just my honest review and I might have missed some details but I don't think anything major enough to invalidate anything. The book is really well written (though the author does ramble at times), the characters feel alive and are all unique--which I really like--and the character development is among the best when compared to most copy-and-paste novels. But I would like to critique the character development because he goes to extreme lengths just for small jumps in power and turns completely psychopathic. While this isn't inherently bad my problem with it is I have a hard time finding a justifiable reason for it. The MC's motive is clear, power, but I wish there were a reason for it that would help me relate to his broken madness. In the beginning, he was described as social (on earth) but then his personality did a 180 and he became distrustful of everyone around him(for little to no reason). I wish he would be a little more naive in the begging and then discover the new world rather than being skeptical from the begging. I also wished his naivety would get him in trouble and have him cling to life or the second chance he was given and have this event cause his extreme behavior. (maybe get captured by the bandits in the beginning and was beaten and abused for a year since the god did say it would be best to stay in the garden for 2 years but he only stayed for 6 months) One last thing I would like to pick on is the fact that the author developed these unique and interesting characters such as Astor and the teachers and never actually used them. On another note, I like how the author actually used an isekai beginning by actually applying it to the story versus most stories which downright ignore the transitions between cultures and environments. The use of the god to give him an advantage and the name switch was beautifully done.
