I understand your preference, but I don't understand why you gave the novel 1 star if you didn't read it. Do you give 1 star to every book you read the review and decide they are not of interest to you? Stars are not given based on whether or not someone liked the novel, but based on the quality of the novel. Of course, everyone including me usually gives stars based on whether they liked it or not, but giving 1 star because the novel is in a genre you don't like is ridiculous. If female protagonists don't interest you, just don't read instead of giving a bad review

do you go onto the mindless 5 star reviews that don't actually review the novel and tell them not to do that? if you don't your kinda a hypocrite because those reviews are just as worthless as 1 stars that don't actually review the novel.

While these reviews are useless, this one is worse than useless. I also don't complain about one star reviews simply saying that the story is bad, but I can comment that I disagree and I liked it. The difference is that the people who post these 5 or 1 star reviews have read the novel. Although they are not useful for new readers who want to know more about the novel, it is a way of expressing how much they liked or disliked the story. When we see a novel with many 5-star reviews it is clear that many people like the story and it is more likely to be interesting. A fanfic with a lot of low ratings is more likely to be bad. In the case of this review the guy only read the synopsis and gave the worst possible grade not because the story or the author is bad but because the webnovel gave a recommendation that he has no interest in reading.
