The English in this is styled in a fashion similar to the Bible or Pride and Prejudice. Grammar is impressive but only to non-native English speakers because of it's pointless complexity. As an American AP student this fanfiction is too wordy for even me to follow half of the time, with it's needlessly confusing monologs which account for 95% of the word count. The author has received similar feedback but this issue persists in the latest chapters. I can only assume that the author himself cannot understand English and is reuploading this from somewhere. Has potential if the author were to simplify it, but until then I would rather read a psychology textbook than this fanfic. Please dude, for the love of God listen to your readers.

It's it's like when you make stuff unnecessarily detailed to hit the word requirement for an essay lol

The hypocrisy is just so thick you can cut it with a knife. Here they are using words that are too outdated but my comment on an author not knowing how to use something as basic as there/their/they're was expecting to much.
