Hopefully, this novel is a better version of "Legend of the Mythological Genes", because it had a great premise, but became rushed and lost all of its focus towards what made it good. It also became super racist and nationalistic. This novel seems to have a similar premise minus the mythological part. I'll give it a read when it comes out.

It's been a while since I read the novel (like a year) but I'm pretty sure that the author made all other races slaves to the Chinese. He also tried to repeatedly drive home the point that all other races are trash other than the Chinese.
