bro i have read the novel the mc was quite realistic in my opinion hes quite opportunistic too, he can't act the way u want cause he's too weak but hes slowly and steadily taking the original mc down. he simply asks if there is a way to live without having to become a villian which is reasonable cause he doesn't know the system strength yet, I personally find mc creative like he 3 option and he fullfills all which he could to get max rewards he knows on which character to make moves and which to ignore.
