I have gotten to about ch 195 on outside sites. This book is decent in both background and writing. However the character is just out of whack. He is straight but seems gay for the whole first 100 chapters. He is supposed to be super smart but never shows it. The skills he receives are broken for the first and doesn’t make sense. If I remember right the icy shot skill has a percent chance of working works every time when the mc wants it to happen!!! What is the point of the others then!!! Its just constantly annoying to hear the author say he is a genius when the mc shows zero signs of those traits. He even seems to be dense and slow with some of his reactions. Archers were able to jump along branches within the beginning days and the mc is a genius just from doing the same thing??!?!!! That’s not genius if many others are able to do the same!!! Don’t tell us he is a genius, show us!!!! He just seems like a regular protected child that doesn’t know the world well. Otherwise, love the story and the world building. Just take away the genius point and you will have a good story on your hands author.

The genius part is a bit lacking but mostly just hidden in the way he does things. Its there but not very noticeable, though yes it does need to be shown more often and put it apart from luck. As for broken skills... nah they are on par with other ability's not making them outright broken just say... suited for him. Like look at the others[Spoilers] in the marksman legacy tournament(I haven't finished it btw) they each got different skills with pros and cons roughly equal to Isaac s skills though they are just utilized incorrectly, not a lot or in a unique way. Against other classes its more okish but Isaac just makes up for it by maximizing the usage and following up with other attacks that flow together well. Guess thats a hidden bit of genius not outright called though.
King Klaus has two super OP Marksman skils but the MC up to this point in chapter 391 doesnt have a single skill that can be considered OP, even calling his skills strong is stretching it. His only good skill his Legacy skill but that doesnt count since he could lise it if he loses the legacy (which he wont cause he is the MC).
