I'm 100% positive there are thousands possible name combinations in chinese language. Yet they always chose the name "Ye Chen"

I always thought the similar names in different novels is at least partially caused by the meaning behind the name. E.g. Lin Feng means something like protagonist / good guy (yes I know this is a wrong translation, I use it as an example). In general the names of characters have extra meaning but we non Chinese readers rarely get to enjoy this helpful habit that Chinese readers get to enjoy
