There is plenty of action in this novel. The outcome of the fights is never too obvious. For example, I was sure Hatoshi would win the fight against Thunder Fang all by himself. The characters feel very real. Each one of them has a reason for making the choices they do. For example, the Oni Guy needed medicine to help Sayato and thought that taking part in a robbery was the only way to do it. It is a great #weaktostrong story, where Hatoshi learns how to be a real superhero bit by bit. I enjoyed reading about the first lesson he learned. That turn of events was unexpected. I'm sure that many more surprises await us!
