Another pancakes novel where the mc gets ridiculously strong in an extreme fast manner by eating their way to the pinnacle while collecting cute girls along the way woohoo it is even a VAMPIRE and a DRAGON just to max out the edginess yet it's also done in a way that he has a proper reason to be this species not just reincarnated as a vampire dragon cuz its cool also despite the fact that the title looks extremely edgy the mc actually has a mostly "innocent" mindset due to his lack of experience and while he had tragic backstory and his future looks grim i expect he is going to have an extremely fulfilling life if you have a tragic story fetish read [world traveler] and if you want an "evil bad guy" mc go read [vampire overlord] both are novels from pancakes if you want to understand the pancakesverse then read all her novels each novel mentions small tidbits here and there that explain a lot of things in her other novels an example is that i know the mc of this novel is related to the mc of epic of caterpillar but you can only figure out why if you read most of eoc

LIKEwhile the novels are connected you don't need to read other novels for it to make sense this applies to all the novels its just more of a plus it can help you understand more lore and know how those characters came to be for example in this novel you can understand the mc origin better if you read epic of caterpillar but even sill the novel itself explains that well enough as well honestly if you plan on reading them all i suggest you leave EOC for last since its the one they all connect to in the end though something to note is the later novels are not connected only the finished ones and eoc and epic of ice dragon
LazyBoy777:I wanna ask, if I didn't read any other novels from this author, will I get confused if I read this novel? I wanted to read this novel first, but I heard people saying that this author's novels are on the same multiverse and there is a relation between each MCs...I don't want to end up in a situation where I read the novel halfway and there are references or links to other MC from other novels, so I'm unsure whether to read it or not.
Thanks for the review. Honestly, at this point I'd rather edgy over innocent after reading "Cultivation Online", at least with edgy I can decide if I like or don't. With innocent you ready 350 chapters waiting for the MC to grow up and it never happens, beyond any level of logic or realistic growth he remains the child he is to a degree it starts to seem like legitimate brain damage that prevents emotional growth.
Dunno if you still read it, but recent events in Cultivation Online are forcing Yuan to grow up in all sorts of ways.

if you want no harem go read epic of ice dragon it has the only pancakes mc who is satisfied with one girl so far
UndeadBeing:Tell my this isn't harem
Already read it to the current chapters, hoping this won't have a harem and as far as I can see currently it doesn't

J_S_2998:Bleh, just because you don’t like harems don’t bring that negativity here, lol.
isekai_seeker:shhh by the time they find that out they would already be too engrossed in it to drop
This isn't a harem. If you don't read the description and imagine it to be monogamous. I mean I love harem in stories. IF THEY ARE DONE RIGHT! Like World domination system stem where he has 2 girls he is married to but no other interest. Then there is Arifureta From commonplace to world's strongest. A proper mid/large harem of a diverse sort but he takes time to know each and every one if them properly and never forgets any if them even if he does have those he spends more time with due to having known them longer and their respective abilities. So many novels have the mc picking girls up like they are used gum under a chair in the most disgusting of schools or public places and then use them once or twice for a tiny mini ark or just a few chapters and they may never even be seen again until another 100-200 chapters go by. And then the author might just maybe... MAYBE remember they exist while going through a character list or chart and then drop them in for a few chapters just to remind you they even exist even though you likely forgot their character entirely by then. IDK how this became a massive rant...

I mean I like harem in stories. IF THEY ARE DONE RIGHT! The mc has to care about them all instead of collecting them like buying Pokémon cards then tossing the inexpensive ones in search of some shiny unique thing... rest assured no pancakes novel has a mc neglecting their love interest/harem although some tend to be treated like side characters it is not the disposable kind bit the i can't find screen time for them type they would often get chapters and fights where they are the focus

Kill_Baby:Does this novel share the same universe as Epic of Ice Dragon?
Well, 9 months and 600+ chapters later, Yuan finnally grows a backbone and takes up the personality of the divine paragon. Now just another 1000+ chapters and he’ll actually remember one past life of dozens.
