Cultivation stories have probably been around for as long as webnovels existed they might even precede system novels though they have a reputation of being of "Varying quality" so with pancakes making a novel that involves an ancient cultivator we can expect some fresh breeze to that concept and anyone familiar with pancakes's works is expecting quality just like always and so far we are getting exactly that if there is any complaints i might have is that her Murium manner of speaking is a little annoying at first but you get used to it after a while

Tu Shan little xue main problem is that she has too many secrets that can doom her if discovered and she is really bad at keeping them right instructor Lan is covering for her but that won't be the case there and the extra attention under the Qing qiu would make that much harder also joining tu shan is the only way to be with her friends instructor lan is already confirmed to be joining Tu shan and out of the others only silly fox has a chance to join wing qiu though i don't remember exactly but i think he had like bloodline that was a mix of fox and something else which might make them look down on him instead of accepting him so she will have no allies in qing qiu only enemies which means she wont have a safe home only a battlefield the only exception is meng yue but that only increases the chances of her secrets being exposed and the struggles she will need to go through to get resources especially her evolution materials will help her get experience that she will almost certainly need for late evolutions and when she goes to the divine world with no faction to back her up you might even argue that the struggles will be even harder than the inner fighting she will face in qinq qiu thus also being better learning experiences as for the low evaluation pretty sure she wont take long to correct it and its almost certain that she will have scuffles with qinq qiu foxes anyway so its like the story will stop including them some say that thier fighting and training style suit her more what i say is little xue has enough advantages to be able to combine them both getting the good of both styles locking herself exclusively into one of them will do more harm than good

I read a bit ahead so i can tell that this is a great story and it gets even better and crazier, despite everything it's beginning is a little tame compared to later on, and as someone who read a lot of pancakes works i can tell she came a long way and improved a lot so this as one of her latest works stands out as quite solid.

i would describe how good this novel but at this i would sound like a broken record, instead i will say there is all the people still sticking around to watch Kireina's antics, isn't that proof enough of how good it is?

while the novels are connected you don't need to read other novels for it to make sense this applies to all the novels its just more of a plus it can help you understand more lore and know how those characters came to be for example in this novel you can understand the mc origin better if you read epic of caterpillar but even sill the novel itself explains that well enough as well honestly if you plan on reading them all i suggest you leave EOC for last since its the one they all connect to in the end though something to note is the later novels are not connected only the finished ones and eoc and epic of ice dragon

no body ever said he was an antihero he is quite righteous and he shouldn't hide his powers from his close ones if he has no reason to only an edgy teen would do that and you kind of sound like one

yup its no harem though honesty i recommend you read all the finished novels since they are connected to each other and then connect back to epic of caterpillar

as someone who finished 4 novels this paragraph brings me extreme happiness

pretty sure i am not the only who likes both the slow pace with a bit of slice of life that Genesis have been like recently and the action filled power leveling and adventuring of the reset personally i prefer a mix of the two
