MY GOD, I am 8 chapter in and I am Hyped lemme tell ya. The only book to ever make me this exoted to read it was LOTM. Mind you to compare it to LOTM I think it still has sometime, but what I can tell you is that I'm getting little blips in my head that this will be a very good book and could be compared (and maybe match up to?) LOTM. I don't know why but the way the author writes has me infatuated with the story. So far writing has been top tier. In 8 chapters its already got my attention (the miniscule amount I can have at the moment). The author clearly has written a few books because he knows what he is doing. Like most stories there is a main center point that is obviously the apocalypse, but we don't know why it happened or where it originated. I'm trying to type this to actually calm my brain down enough to actually read. once I catch up I will continue my review in the comments, including may actual rating.

So I've finally caught up and what a story man, the hype I felt in the beginning may have been a bit much but it's still a really good read, idea 8/10 I've only ever seen one other book with an idea even close to this so good job. Execution 9/10 it's really good I think though at some points it can feel a tad bit slow. Characters 6/10 really you have the two main characters and so far the other "side characters" really need some fleshing out to make it feel like it isn't just the two currently fighting le French. World building 6/10 Just because so far most of the story is inside the zones which fine that's part of the story, but I really hope the author can give us more details on what else is going on in the world, a really good example of this is like in chrysalis how at the start of some chapters the authors gives little excerpts from book in the world, I'm not saying you have to do that. All in all 7/10 for now and while that seems like the "it's an ok book" range I think I would give most of the books on here a 3-5/10. Final thoughts, maybe flesh out side characters and the main world more and I think that'll really help.
