I can't stress this enough. Chinese xianxia, xuanhuan and wuxia stories are protagonist-driven. This means that the protagonist makes or breaks the entire novel - with a lacklustre MC you simply can't compensate. The MC you have here is a lazy slob who feels self-entitled to power because he has a system. If this wasn't enough, there's the whole setup of this novel. Every single character seems programmed to be as problematic as possible. They just jump to random conclusions which make little to no sense, and then fly with it. The MC of course being a doormat with as much self-respect as a 5th generation prostitute takes it lying down. Even when he proves them wrong, he still takes the blame. How fantastic.

i don't see anything wrong with what he said. i mean he gave clear reason why he doesn't like this novel which in turn help people avoid wasting their time if they are of the same opinion.

The latest batch of trial reads especially. Just wow! From half a brain being needed as requirement to enjoy the novel to...quarter of the brain.
Purple_Khaos:Books like this should be read with half a brain. That is the only way u won't feel annoyed. Lol. Quite frankly, I don't care to review becoz I had no expectations. It's a binge novel. Lately, all the trial reads are meant for wasting time and binging
