Hey! So Mc used to live with his aunt and uncle, once he grew up they told him to leave the house. I would be explaining all that in later chaps . Mc is 25 years old. Well you can say he is naive he haven't seen the cruelty of the world but now when he is seeing it's just scaring him. He is not stupid but because he is scared he is acting like one.
