Because writing ‘good’ harem is almost impossible, all the characters become side shows instead of a meaningful connection or long term plot point. There are exceptions obviously, but those are definitely not the majority.

Right. there are literally millions of other harems. Idk why people constantly beg for them then get mad when the stiry gets bad because of the harem😂

3 is the max for a harem novel to be good. I can't remember 10+ women, any author that does that might as well write smut. 3 is possible with proper CTD(See No Evil is doing harem the right way, 240k+ words in and it isn't a harem yet, but the groundwork is being layed out very well).
