Misleading. The title makes you believe the MC is evil and does morally wrong things to grow. He doesnt. The MC starts as a ruthless killer and literally slaughters a couple after humiliating them. He never acts like this again. He isnt even a morally questionable person later on. He's literally just your average protagonist that just cultivates with sin. The novel promised one thing and then tried to give you a knockoff instead. Still, writing quality is pretty good so its still a 2 stars.

I agree that the title is deceiving, but..man, the sin, in this case, is going against the celestial dao, which alchemy also does. As for the fights, I can understand that it gives the story a boost, but it's so well built that you realize that the protagonist doesn't have time to be bickering with every sucker that appears, he has to strengthen himself for what really matters.. ... the damnations of hell (Don't blame me if I'm wrong in this hell thing, I don't even remember the protagonist's name). So, starting to fight anyone and having an over-inflamed ego is not his personality. Who would maintain the same retarded personality of being a petty villain when on death's door??? definitely not the protagonist.

I wont argue that the tital might be Misleading, simply because of ppl beliefs. I will on the other hand argue with everything els, mc does morally wrong things to grow etc. Its just that morals in this story are different - They are set of rules and laws set by the "heavenly dao" of this novel, and mc fully goes against them believing that they are horrible and disgusting. What you or i or our society believes to be morals and divine laws etc. has nothing to do with this.

He literally r@pes someone in the first 10 chapters and kills his other sect people to grow. After this, we get a watered down version of him who acts completely different.

Yes, if doing what he did was the most advantageouse option for him then thats what he did. Its not first 10 chapters its 1 chapter and theres very little context to it. But what context there is - the situation is that it was a trap, and angering ur oponent by makeing he's woman do things for you is a good advantage in a close call combat, mind you - before the trap was set up he's enemys thought he was lvl 3-4, but he was lvl 4 and he's oponent was lvl 4 aswell. So ya - making asumptions on he's charecter without any context wont get you anywhere. it could be evil charecter it could be scheming charecter etc etc. just cause u wanted to asume he is evil and lawless doesnt make him so.
