Generic novel with generic concepts. Especially don’t like that the divinity things actually takes over the host bodies. I hate that the Zhou kid was taken over by the personality of Battle Angel Michael, I hate it so much. Anyway this is garbage that shouldn’t see the light of day.

The kid was not taken over. It was a tug-of-war between the two personalities, and they both merged seamlessly. So they are still both there, neither side taking over the other. It was stated so many times to the point of annoyance so I don't see how you did not notice it. Do you have a selective reading?
