This novel is bland, plain and simple. The use of an emotional catalyst is hollow and unredeeming, everything subsequently coming off as shallow and meaningless. The language isn't necessarily bad, but it's by no means good. The development was aggravating to say the least, as he participated in too many trifles and built many meaningless relationships, for no particular reasons. The incessant carrying of his subordinates and expenditure of resources on their behalf is maddening. Reading 600 chapters in, I can say, they have all provided such minuscule amounts of help, it doesn't do justice to the pages of accrued dialogue of those leeches. The impetuous nature of some, only further aggravating said feelings. Now, I managed to deal with these interactions between parasite and host, by skimming, if not outright skipping over most of it. However, the plot seems to be one centred on the complete subservience and altruism of the protagonist, where if he isn't constantly helping those around him, he is now helping the planet he resides on, or the galaxy he resides in. Which frankly was the last straw, I could turn a blind eye to the self sacrifice of his own progression to help the powerless scrubs around him, because it was omitted to some extent, when he provided skills that could prove valuable to himself, or cores that he required to progress to others, it wasn't always explicitly stated, and I maintained that he wasn't idiotic enough to do such things, assuming the text didn't outright state otherwise. However, now it seems he has just become a lackey, a cog in a wheel, part of another's machinations and scheming. Where he is at a complete loss, the need and urge to help others at his expense is the downfall. Foregoing, the cheap plot and characters, the predictable outcomes, the frivolous elongated interactions, the fact that he can't live for himself, is why I can't continue reading this garbage. It baffles me that people have such a low standard, that simply putting semi-coherent words together constitutes good writing, I couldn't help but cringe when reading this, It does terribly in conveying any amount of grandiloquence, the text explicitly foreshadowing, wherein it follows the same phrase used many times before. The colourful language nothing more than a vain attempt at depicting a deeper meaning. I can't say any part of this novel excelled.
