Sivil:Not that I disagree with you about the SS but it is worth noting that Qidian owns Gravity Tales (or at least the actual novel licensing/translations). To say they are appropriating chapters is like saying that when you get a glass of milk out of your fridge you are stealing from your family.
I specifically said I am not disagreeing regarding his comment on SS. I do however disagree about his comment that Qidian is stealing from Gravity Tales. That is a plain falsehood. They own Gravity Tales. You can't steal from yourself.

I agree. But I do think that taking it off GT and adding it here, only to make over half of the already translated content paid-only? That's just stupid. Not to mention that from what I remember GT translated up to ~300 chapters, and they only added 250 here. So it means for next couple of weeks/months we will be geting paid chapters that people already have read. Just stupid.

Why would they change that? All these 50k + people are willing to pay them $10-$30 a month per LN to read them. If they changed it they couldn't make all this money that people keep throwing at them. People are so willing to throw all their money at them that QI has made all their LNs Paywalled.

Legally? No, it is not stealing if you have a joint account and you as a single holder take all the money out of it. Is this wrong morally? Perhaps. Are there certain situations where it could be illegal such as when a divorce is ongoing? Sure, but let's stop nitpicking like 12 year olds trying to do a 'GOTCHA'. The OP of the review used wording that was misleading at best (you could argue that appropriating doesn't necessarily mean without permissions even though that is almost always the intended use of the word) or factually wrong at worse (claiming Qidian is stealing when they clearly are NOT). Your feelings and your outrage do not change facts.

Cool, but can u actually write a review. I don’t really care if it costs premium because I can just find it for free on another site. There is no reason to give people a bad impression of the story for no reason. If u r going to rant about qi, do it somewhere else. Reviews are supposed to be about your opinion of the story, not of the company behind it. Usually when I’m on the fence about reading something, Webnovel is my go to, because I rarely find comments on boxnovel or wuxia. I will decide based on ratings and what people say. Many times I’ve skipped over a pretty good or decent story because people are getting pissed in the comments about qi moving stories and giving 1 stars. If you are going to rant about qi, do an ACTUAL review, and then rant at the end of the review. There is no need to pointlessly bring down a good story. While I haven’t read this yet and don’t know if it’s good, I would still appreciate it if you and other people who rant about qi wrote an honest review and stopped giving 1 stars for no other reason than you don’t like the company.

True. It's easy to find these novels for " free ". U just need to writte the name and it'll appear. Illegal ? Of course. I care ? Of course not. No one cares. But we need a nice way to find others WN to read, and the better way is here or in Novel Updates. Unfortunately, there will always people who say **** and make bad reviews. 1-1 sad
