Since Freyja´s father is named Njord she should be Njorddottir. I know that marvel fucked it up spectacularly since they fused Frigg and Freya into one and on top of that fucked whole thing over. Freyr is Freyja´s brother not father. Its quite painful to read Freyrdottir which basically means daughter of Freyr and immediately after read that she is the daughter of Njord :D So choose just one of them please :D
Ok, so you want some inspiration? :D So I will write a few things that I have in mind. For interaction in audience, I would like to see Seirin react, especially those who don't know who he is. (that you showed in that visiting Seirin chapter). Another would be reactions of Mibuchi, Aone or other graduates from Tokiwadai. Maybe some insight into scouts (high school coaches), like talking to each other in stands, arguing about Shun and GoM, etc. Maybe even visit from Sarah Snow (like Alex came for Kagami she could come to see him play his peers as well) for Teiko match, I am not sure if you will make them face off in finals or sooner and her talking with those scouts or couches. And of course some Shun "Awesomeness".
In team play, he is not even GoM level and individually he is worse than all of them. In anime, he was compensated by getting three Uncrowned players on his team and was extremely boosted just so he could be seen as a sort of final boss for Seiring despite being worst. He is slow, weak and short. Emperor eye and ankle break are nice but really not enough for him to be best in the series. As PG without the Emperor's eye, he is good but only in low GoM level. Individually he is even a bit worse. As PG with the Emperor's eye, he is much worse than before. Individually he would be GoM level definitely, but that is kinda useless when you play as PG. I truly cannot see how he could ever defeat Murasakibara in canon or be considered best player in the series. Author (of canon) needed "final boss" level character but choose so bad character design that is simply so unbelievable that it destroys it completely. As I said he is weak, slow, and short, and only technique wouldn't make him the best.
Well, this now is Shuns chance. Since all of GoM wants to defeat him 1v1 they will abandon teamwork and I can't imagine Shun losing to any of them in 1v1. This will limit Teiko so much, that it could potentially mean Tokiwadai victory. This all, of course, works on assumption that Shun will not collapse again.
I would also suggest time-skip to preliminaries of 3rd year. Maybe let the next few chapters be SOL or some GoM insight. Or breakthrough in assimilating things he copied from training camp. Or you could show us some high school couches/scouts trying to recruit Shun. And after that go to the 3rd-year competition. Honestly, I am really looking forward to the high school arc.
