A meteor, literal lava attacks, entire buildings being uprooted etc. They were random NPCs who clearly used fear and picking out the weak to do their robberies (like a typical chinese young master) so they were not very strong. The woman was more experienced but was biased due to her experience, such as not thinking it is possible to manipulate an element without chants or a magic circle. I do have plans regarding all of this plot so Ill do my best, and try to improve on fight scenes.
