Tbh you actually do want a bendy wood for a spear. If it’s too stiff, it actually has the propensity to get brittle in the long run. Bendy woods means flexible which means less chance of straight up shattering on use (although to hear you are correct here needs to be a balance)

To be fair, from a philosophical standpoint, a shadow is a more complex idea than the concept of darkness. But from a gaming standpoint I agree that maybe Dark should be a secondary level
