Alex knew Badger was just a pawn being forcefully used by the people from Human Empire to meet with him, and Badger couldn't even warn him because of a strict Watcher Contract.

Alex knew that if he went to meet with Badger, the people from the Empire would try to force a Watcher Contract on him, but he was not even a bit worried about getting forced into a contract like Badger and the others.

Alex was not worried that people from the Empire would force him into a Watcher contract because to do that, they needed to threaten him with his life which was not happening as Varon, his guardian, would be present beside him to provide protection.
