I totally agree with that sentiment. It kinda did feel like her achievements were kinda blown over. But all the celebrations and whatever were all kinda left behind because they had to focus on Breston so no other time to focus on anything else. Which I was completely fine with but it felt like the author would go through such lengths just to not make us get moments with riftan and maxi. The fact that riftan had to give up all his personal time to be the pastor’s lapdog was just sad. Then the big fight. Then the book end. Then I was hoping we’d get some much needed closure with that epilogue only for her to spend 3/4 of the final chapter with her friends and a 1/4 with riftan. This is my favorite book been reading it for 4 years. But I’m saddened how empty the last couple chapters felt. Like the fighting, the growth, everything was greatly described but the romance dwindled heavily.

Story seemed promising unfortunately all we got was a prologue from 2 years ago.

It was good while it lasted. Wish I could’ve gotten to see the rest of the steamy smut scene we were left on but unfortunately I guess too much is going on in the authors life for her to get back to this book that or she just completely forgot about it. It’s sad really. Was one of the first novels I read and was very entertained by it while it lasted

It’s a good book author thought of everything down to the last detail. Very creative and talented writer. How she managed to think of all of this is astounding. The ending was lackluster though. Quite disappointed there was no pregnancy. I’d like a kuahel pov of maxi. Hebaron just vanished from existence in the last couple of chapters. Riftan had every right to refuse wigrew’s sword cause the church was just pushing off responsibility to maintain peace off them onto his shoulders but I still kinda wanted him to just show everyone how great he is and that he is infact the actual reincarnation of wigrew and no one should f with him but oh well. Maxi was still pessimistic, insecure and filled with social anxiety. Even in the last chapter she still felt the need to cover her freckles.Wished she learnt to live in the moment and just enjoy what little time she had with riftan instead of worrying about what others thought of her. Especially since they had 3% romantic interaction in book 2. More than half the book they spent arguing or away from each other or fighting in the war. It’s saddened me than even in the final chapter they still weren’t together till the very end of the chapter. the disappointment just kept coming. Confused on why Richard didn’t lose his title and why he isn’t reprimanded for his animalistic behavior but oh well to that too I guess. What happened to maxi’s rune last we heard a few pages were missing. Wish we got scarlet lady 2.0 the golem mage unfortunately they still only focused on the wigrew legend. Would’ve liked to see more of ulyseon and how he’s doing since he lost to sejuleu. Would’ve also have been nice if we saw riftan being officially bestowed his earl/count title. It wasn’t even hinted at since people were still addressing them as lady or sir instead of a title.we didn’t even get to see the distribution of rewards. I feel this is a great book and the massive character development of riftan was beautiful unfortunately maxi lagged behind in development but hers was good too but she still needed a lot of room to grow and it’s unfortunate the book ended without that happening. It’s a good book on its own but this own lacked the powerful romance in book one and just filled with yearning and longing but barely any time together after putting us through all that frustrating none stop fighting only for them even after the war still spending 0 time together and when it’s soent it’s only hinted at. There’s a lot to be desired but unfortunately all the good things come to an end. Would be nice if there’s a book 3 where we get little drama more romance but I can make peace with this. that’s enough of my rant now. Chao

I really don’t get what she’s so mad about. Basically questioning riftan’s loyalty to her after everything he’s done. Like I don’t know she’s childish af in this chapter imo. I know she’s insecure and pessimistic af but deal with that on your own don’t push your insecurities on the man that has literally proven he’d die for you like c’mon now she’s being ridiculous and petty for no reason. I that whole scene was handled immaturely. He was obviously not flirting with them. When riftan does it to maxi y’all get mad when she does it to him she’s being reasonable? Like… these comments are just smh. Riftan deserves justice. I mean the whole situation happened in like what 1 minute. she didn’t give the guy enough time to push them away on his own for her to be judging him like that. And why should he apologize to her for being harrassed it’s not his fault. Y’all literally victim blaming. smh

Great everything is great that’s all you need to know

This is basically a yaoi or man love man novel. It’s just this dude that’s obsessed with this persons he thinks is a beautiful boy and behaves like a possessive creep with sexual fantasies constantly about this “boy”. Just to find out it’s a chick. Instant relief cause now in his mind his creepy advances are justified cause it’s a girl and not a twink. Also camellia kinda spineless and naive. Her mom is too. Her father is selfish. And just it’s a meh story.

I’m very confused on the timeline of this book I wish that was more clear cause their language and way of speaking is most certainly not befitting of the era I presume this story is written in. There’s no formality in the way they speak at all. And then with that comment about “this day and age” like is it modern day prince and princess or not? Cause if it’s not then it’s a poorly written historical book but if it is modern era then it’s a good read.

All this girl has done up till now is forgive people. Have no clue what this old man is talking about. There has been no revenge nor grudge holding. I think he’s thinking about someone else

Great story, very slow paced though. Great plot. Great story development. Characters are great not one dimensional at all. Unfortunately I had to tap out once the fl’s self respect sailed right out the window after he kissed her. For those who aren’t as picky as me please keep reading it im sure y’all won’t regret it. It’s a good book unfortunately I couldn’t get past her pick me era. Some might be confused on what I’m talking about but after he ignored her for 3 days after the kiss then proceeds to bully her not in the childish teasing banter he did before but actually bully and belittle her she’s just “it’s ok that’s how he should treat me I’m a servant after all” then when ever he gets all up in his mood and tries to kiss her she practically begs for it. it’s real embarrassing. We know his reasoning but she doesn’t. Before she’d atleast curse him out in her head but now she’s just confused and mentally begging him to treat her like he did before. Like girl get a hold of yourself. I know she can’t help it due to the bond affecting her emotions but it’s just sad from her pov pining over a man that treats her like a toy then discards her whenever he pleases and she’s just like “ok”. Nah had to drop it for my own sanity.
