Good quality, much better than most light novels on this site. No romance, no harem, no pointless faceslappings. The world is interesting, the power system is nuanced, and the progression is solid. The MC is a little silly in the first few chaps, but gets smarter and more ruthless later on. Obviously not as legendary quality as famous titles such as Reverend Insanity, My Divine Diary, Lord of The Mysteries, etc, but the author put real effort into this. Compared to the rest of the trash that plagues this website, this light novel is a solid A tier novel.

Su Nan didn't think much about it and maintained his pace, running forward. In his view, even if the two were indeed chasing someone, it had nothing to do with him.

Can't wait for the MC to train so hard that he becomes bald

Would he become a perpetual motion machine in the future?

Has its problems but it's much better than the harem trash that plagues this platform.

This story is not good nor bad, it is just meh. The premise, the plot, and the golden finger, they are all just bland. Nothing is particularly interesting about the world or what happens in it. There's no sense of urgency or conflict most of the time, all the events that happen to the MC are clear cut and dry (go to auction, go practice spell, go cultivate, go to market, go do a mission, whoops! while you were travelling, you encountered 2x demonic cultivators!). The golden finger is just shite. Get a mission whenever the plot needs it and do a certain action 100x and get some OP items... There's no intrigue about it, it's just there to solely boost the MC. While I do respect the 'realism' in the characters that interact with the MC, the author in the process minimised the uniqueness of all the characters and their personalities, making each person feel like the same person but with different allegiences. The MC's steadiness is the only remarkably good aspect in this book, but the MC is only as good as the story he's in. All in all, I wouldn't say it's garbage, but it's nothing great either. I've only read 40 chapters, so it may get better later on as the story and world building develops, but I'd rather drop it and move on to the next book.

MC's who have the most broken talents or classes are always afraid of being left behind by the noobs 💀💀

I've read up to about 80 chapters in before thinking that I've seen enough. Basically, this book is just a ton of shite. We know next to nothing about the MC. From family, to the MC's current life, to the MC's past life, to the motivations and goals, all of this is either not explained very well or not explained period. The only thing that I can scrape together for a personality profile for the MC is that he only cares about pursuing Dao (no reasons or past experiences to justify this) and that he might(?) have some feelings towards his deskmate at school. There's nothing else we know about it him, which is mental. The golden finger is horrendously powerful, but it is wasted on a MC that has the intelligence of a sledgehammer. The golden finger gives him everything he needs (cultivation scriptures, pills, resources, etc) as long as he charges it with money. Let's put it this way, the MC could just sit in a hole for a hundred years, occasionally coming out to sell some random shite he could produce from the golden finger for more cash, and just cultivate until he becomes the strongest. Instead, the MC goes around travelling with beauties, entering inheritances realms and offending all kinds of young masters and their factions. What a load of bollocks! When you realise just how redundant the MC's journey is, the plot ends up feeling so forced and unnecessary. The MC has no urgent goals either so there's no need to risk his life. What a load of faff for nothing. There are other problems as well, such as there no world building (really), the plot points are so cliche and bog standard, mc's strength in fights is rather inconsistent to how powerful he should be, the translation is not great, and the characters are two dimensional cookie cutouts of either the evil villain archetype who will harm the MC because he's the MC, or the jade beauty archetype who will become the followers of the MC because he's the MC. All in all, this book is very poorly written. I would not recommend reading this book, though you could if you turned your brain off during it. Also, the book does seem to be going down the no romance route, given the one and only personality trait of the MC, but I've only read 80 chapters so I cannot confirm.
