Glad to hear it was received well. I'm still new to the prospect of writing about topics like these since I have little personal experience, so please point out any shortcomings I display. Regardless, as always thanks for reading and your feedback is highly appreciated! ^-^

"Oh, it's a bitter drink. You wouldn't like it," Aubrey said, not thinking it was a good idea to give 4-to-6-year-old coffee.

Right now I have no idea how this is going to happen and it's giving me a headache.

There was still UA, though, at least before he thought about it.

Interesting idea, if I were not making this story up as I go I would probably have done this instead. Oh well.

In response to her desperation, her quirk activated, bringing a small yet unyielding brightness to the alleyway.

You're right, he would, this is not the best choice. Even if it has a chance of not mattering if they're an illegitimate businesses. It's just that after his powers worked on Overhaul and since he's away from the show's characters he's overconfident at the moment being in nowhere Gunma. MC is just lost in greed here. They don't need to go for the risky position but they are because a part of them wants to not do laborious and low paying work while the other is way is too trustful of their newfound power. Since I failed to convey this, I'll update the story to do so properly. As always thanks for reading, and your response to the story is highly appreciated! ^-^

'It's not very likely, and awfully risky, but if I can find a low-end clinic, I might just be able to secure myself an easy source of income.' Aubrey thought as he considered the possibility of using his powers to weasel his way into a psychiatric clinic.

Don't worry I didn't take it that way.As for the pace of the book I'm not quite sure where it will land at the moment but I think it will be more slow paced, not incredibly so, but still slow to normal. Thanks for the question! ^-^

From what I remember I think you're right. However, I believe there have been instances where it seeps through regardless. The reason Aubrey brings it up is because he is unsure of his power being able to work on Nezu, so he's a lot more causios of the danger to his wellbeing he may pose. Thanks for commenting btw, your feedback is always appreciated, and if I have a misconception of some kind please do point it out. ^-^

You're right, and he will eventually, but you're assuming she's Aubrey's first priority at the moment when in reality, his well being is. I’d like to preface this by saying that Aubrey will not be a perfect character, in the sense that his actions will not always be the best possible. Furthermore I am willing to reconsider the direction of the story if I have a misconception regarding how things work in-universe. Regarding Eri, Aubrey does care for her, he's not just going to abandon a child, especially not one whose psyche is highly unstable when he’s the person they trust most. Plus Aubrey does sympathize with Eri and what she's gone through. This doesn’t mean he will sacrifice his wellbeing for her though, at least, not at the moment. Him risking his life by helping Eri escape Overhaul’s stronghold was done for his safety first and foremost. Aubrey feared that if he didn’t help Eri then the previous owner of his new body would return and he didn’t know what would happen to himself. If the previous owner had not stopped him from leaving the experimentation room he met Eri in, Aubrey would have just left.

Putting that out of the way, going to meet Allmight would be incredibly difficult, as little is known about his whereabouts outside of patrolling until he settles into UA. I’ll tackle that in a bit. To my understanding, to meet Allmight, Aubrey would have to predict where he’d be, or be near a villain attack when Allmigth shows up to stop it. Assuming he achieves either of these conditions, Aubrey would then have to get Allmight’s attention, convince him he’s not a paparazzi, or fan, and to hear him out either on the spot or somewhere presumably less public as all nearby people tend to flock to his current location. I feel like I need to explain a bit of how Aubrey’s powers work now. Basically, at the moment, Aubrey can make anyone believe what he wants them too, however, this comes at the cost of recoil damage. Recoil is only mitigated through Aubrey’s control over his power, nothing else. On the other hand, Recoil is accentuated by a variety of variables including the brain processing capabilities of the target, the target’s will to obey, and the leap in logic or trust that needs to be made. Notice that none of these decrease recoil, but only increase its potency. From what I understand, while Allmight is not the brightest tool in the shed, his heroic instincts are strong, and his will is immense. From this alone Aubrey would suffer a lot getting Allmight to ignore his unwillingness to waste his limited hero time doing anything else than stopping crime, as well as getting him to believe whatever it is he says about Eri and Overhaul. Furthermore, the vestiges of the previous users of one for all would protect Allmight, even if he can’t speak to them, from Aubrey’s powers, resulting in enough recoil to kill Aubrey on the spot.
