Good initial fight. Spear, javelins, lances, and the likes are my personal favorite. Tell us a bit more about what's going on in the world AROUND your character as well so that we can immerse! How did the world get like this? why is it so suddenly like a video game? Those are just examples, but I do think they are good questions lol You are doing well, and I am sure your other readers will agree,

I try to keep things sharp lol And I started with the idea that it would keep each chapter below 2000 words lol these days, I tend to land between 2200 and 3500 😭😭 my readers don't seem to mind, so I keep at it. Sometimes a bit more meat on the bone can hold folks over, as i tend to post only 3-5 times a month since my chapters tend to be longer.

The portal-mirror concept leave room for a crossover 😁I am big on those lol. I haven't done one just yet but I met another writer like yourself recently and I offered them a crossover with my series. This could be one of those things with some time!I see many new writers with a good amount of potential on this app, and my series of short stories is perfect for nearly any type of character build so that excites me. we can all help each other grow! Take your time. I'll write the chapter in such a way that he should be able to get back to your world and fit in without deviating too far from his character that you have established.

I would love to have your character fall through a rift into my world for some wild, temporary adventure. Maybe he can gain a new skill or ability and take it back to your world lol. This would be so much fun to write and I would love to give your character a "One Last Knight." version. I could easily convert your system stats into those of my characters builds, and he would interact well with my world I believe. It could be a one -time cross over, but I warn you now, my readers tend to get attached lol.

The title of the chapter is also a Fleetwood Mac reference lol.

Interesting how the Trials lead back into the real world and you keep the abilities and items.
