As if she's the one who is supposed to be offended and hurt...
Margaret is too extra imo. Feels kinda forced and more like a filler character for the Harem which makes no sense since it's only been 30 chapters and he already has Nyx, his mother and sooner or later - his little sis. It's also too early to judge cuz she didn't really get her "screen time" but I feel like she doesn't fit into the picture with her personality so far.
Book is great so far but the sudden flashback chapters are killing me. Why would I care about something that happened in his past when he's about to save his girls and kill a bunch of soldiers? The suspense is uncalled for and it's lowkey annoying. Kudos for the world building... this sh*t is close to LOTR and GOT and may even surpass them considering all the 'foreign' additions that Author included in this book from other works. Disguised plagiarism in fantasy is what makes everything more magical if the added elements make sense in the overall plot/story and they DO make sense in this novel so that's another reason to give this a try. BTW... the association &/or integration of earth's cultures in this novel based on geographical and lowkey geopolitical climates made this novel 300 times more appealing to me cuz it's just so well done.
I really enjoyed the concept and the setting but I would have loved if some of the characters got a bit more background. In my opinion the whole mercenary group deserved a bit more attention in regards to the missions they were assigned or overall interactions (some unrelated side-stories or fillers would've been nice). Overall a great book that's easy to read with a satisfying ending.
