My math was wrong... I made slight changes to the numbers. Also, narutopedia says 1 Ryo is 10 yen. 500 ryo equates to 5000 yen which equates to 36 dollars. Also, ramen in Japan costs between 600 yen and 1200 yen. Google said it, not me, so I might be absolutely wrong. Now then, I'm crossing my fingers that naruto pedia was right.
