i don't think so.we have seen Flash hitting Peter in canon and Col is three people stuffed together it's like he has three personalities .Col Stephens is mostly blank because he does not have any major memories then there is Jason Todd who is calculative but also has some issues these two personalities suppress Jeremy yorks personality because it's the weakest one the kid was abused and a drug addict whose parents were killed inheritance stolen he is just a powder keg of anger waiting to explode. and his feelings for Gwen were probably intensified due to his feeling of abandonment that's the reason he only overpowers no more like he worms his way to the top when it's about the reason he was angry or it's the girls he liked.
