FL abuses/bruise/kick’s/pinch’s her comatose husband. She’s has very little conscious, is an entitled idiot and overall a disgustingly disappointing female lead.

Don’t recommend, female lead is dumb, immature, childish in an annoying ‘pick me’ way. Extremely poor character design and hard to even like such a woman. Couldn’t get past the first couple chapters because of how immature and desperate she acts and thinks.

This kind of story is automatically categorized as downright f*ucked up, a creepy older r*pist like man pared with a 20 year old pathetic idiot of a woman. The gross beginning immediately tainted the whole story for me, I tried continuing however there’s too much creepy and forceful actions.

For staying and “enduring for the kids”. What good is enduring abuse and humiliation for your children when they are also being abused and neglected, witnessing constant violent actions in a home that is supposed feel safe. Traumatized and scared for their live as well as their beloved mother’s life.

Boring plot, idiotic and good for nothing father, generic and a bit plain.

I’ve enjoyed this immensely, it’s not dramatically slow like others I’ve read. The writing progresses at a consistent pace and it is very much a book I would read again and again. 10/10 would recommend for those who don’t need constant romance every turn of a page and another thing this is in the perspective of a strong minded and thoughtful male character. Though I do enjoy lovey dovey romance, I do need a break from those stories every now and again. To each their own, as long as you enjoy what you read. You do you!

The author seems to disregard consent, and wrote about a lady being taking advantage of while drugged as a starting point of the story. It ruins the general body of this romance story, while also portraying the male lead’s character as a very unappealing man. The male lead’s thinking and actions lack empathy, rationality and dept, it makes no sense . Couldn’t get myself past such a dark and unsettling beginning and the aftermath of how the author continued to go about this thinking.

In my opinion and experience this is a very reasonable reason for why she’s more prone to negative and doutful thoughts. Constant stress, extrem pressure, hormones, etc. Sensitivity and overthinking are sometimes the result of such a life.
